A few suggestions for the 4th-

Grilled Lobster Tails
Posted by Hello

1 (1 1/2 pound) whole lobster
Creole seasoning

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Preheat a grill.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully plunge the lobster, head first, into the water and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from the water and plunge into an ice bath to stop the cooking. Carefully, split the lobster tail down the back. Add Creole seasoning to the meat. Place the lobster on a hot grill belly down first for 4 minutes, then flip and repeat on backside. Place lobster in the oven for a flash cook of 7 minutes

Jack

Walking out of my parking garage in Charlestown I walked right into Jack Nicholson... They are shooting a scene for the up coming movie "The Departed" starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg in the same building that I park at...

The movie plot: The story, set in Boston, revolves around a gangster (Damon) who infiltrates the police department and a cop (DiCaprio) who infiltrates the gangs. The two find out that a mole is in each organization and race to find each other's identity.

Directed by Martin Scorsese (sometime in 2006)

The funny thing about this picture is it was taken at 2:00am Friday morning... The Sox were only playing a few hrs later... If I had a hard time watching imagine how he must have felt trying to play in the game... (He eventually was sent in to pinch hit in the 9th and singled to center).

Pudge's Pole

Posted by Hello

All by itself, Pesky's Pole at Fenway Park looms a welcoming 302 feet down the right-field line, to a hitter what a lighthouse is to a man of the sea -- the quickest route to home. Beginning tonight, the other yellow tower -- less conspicuous but more historically relevant -- will have a name of its own. The Fisk Pole, according to the BOSTON HERALD.

''It has long been talked about," said Charles Steinberg, the Sox' executive vice president of public affairs. ''Fans have suggested it. It had a long gestation period. The time became right when the 30th anniversary of the World Series came along with interleague play creating a moment to celebrate a moment."

Tonight, when the Cincinnati Reds return to Fenway for the first time since the 1975 World Series, the foul pole atop the Green Monster officially will be given a name. Fisk, a member of the Sox between 1969 and 1980, will be in the park for the 6:45 p.m. ceremony. It was in the 12th inning of Game 6 of that series that Fisk willed his tailing liner fair and off that pole for a deciding homer that forced Game 7, which, of course, the Sox went on to lose.

Glenn Ordway -“Caller, you are on the air”
Caller “Glenn, are you going out to Wrigley to see the Cubs and the Sox this weekend?”

San Diego

Posted by Hello

A few random things…
Never use mapquest again… It’s horrible. Instead, a much better choice is Google Maps (check out the satellite view).
When flying out to San Diego I watched Hell's Kitchen (thanks to JetBlue and their TV’s). The show is the 1st reality show that I like. The head chef, Gordon Ramsey, is hilarious and will make you squirm with his blunt approach. They also have great dishes that I will be copying very soon (the Beef Wellington looked amazing) Speaking of JetBlue … It is by far my favorite airline. I printed out my boarding pass in my office, hoped in a cab and was on the plane in under 30 mins (no lines anywhere)... The direct TV is a huge plus… Makes the time fly by.
Went for a run this morning followed by a bike ride… The weather is amazing and the ocean is spectacular… Hitting the golf course at 2:30 followed by a stop at the In-N-Out Burger
