Cooper Open 2007

Dear Friends,

We hope to see as many of you as possible on Saturday, October 7th at the Fifth Annual Cooper Open to be held at Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH.

Since its inception, the Cooper Open has annually been a fun and rewarding day for the friends and family of the Cooper Family. Most of all, however, it is a great day for the Coopers, Ken and Deb and their three beautiful daughters, Monica, Julia and Rebecca.

As most of you know, all three Cooper girls are waging a battle with Mitochondrial Disease, a crippling foe characterized by a failure of a body’s cells to create the energy necessary to fuel the body and its respective organs. Notwithstanding the daily physical struggles these three girls face, the emotional and financial toll on the entire family as a result of the unpredictability of the disease is exhausting and draining. To have a day like this annually provides a huge boost to not only Ken, Deb and the girls, but also their extended family that works so hard to keep family life running smoothly.

The proceeds of the event benefit Marcel’s Way, a New Hampshire based non-profit group for those affected by Mitochondrial Disorders that offers support, information, and financial assistance to families like the Coopers that have been affected by this terrible disease.

This year more than any other we encourage fellow UNH alums who knew Ken and Deb (White) during their time at UNH to participate. Whether you remember them from Williamson or around SAE and the Blue House, we’d love you to join us.

For more information regarding the event or to make your presence felt through a donation if you are unable to attend please log onto www.cooperopen.com and feel free to forward this e-mail to anyone who may have interest.

Sincerely,

Jim Bagley Jon Fox Sean Gallivan Clint Logan Ben Starr
