Making Waves to Fight Cancer

Founded in 1987, SWIM ACROSS AMERICA, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer research, prevention and treatment through a variety of high profile, swim-related events.

Since inception SAA has raised over $16 million nationally for recognized beneficiaries. The beneficiaries we support are closely tied to the communities that are currently hosting events - New York, Boston, San Francisco and Chicago.

This is a charitable event that helps raise money for the Perini Quality of Life Clinic at Dana Farber Cancer Center. The Clinic was founded by David and Eileen Perini (in memory of their son), and its primary mission is to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and cancer survivors. This is a broad mandate that among many other things includes addressing the long-term effects of treatment, the risk of second cancers and the complex social and psychological issues associated with the disease. It is a terrific event for an organization that provides an essential service for cancer patients and their families.

This swim is not about how fast you swim, it’s not about the cold water, it’s not about being in the harbor. THIS SWIM IS FOR THE KIDS WITH CANCER - THIS SWIM IS ABOUT THE ONE’S WE HAVE LOST - THIS SWIM IS ABOUT THE ONE’S WE MISS - THIS SWIM IS ABOUT ONE’S WE LOVE - THIS SWIM IS ABOUT HELPING FIGHT CANCER

I welcome your contributions. $5.00 or $500.00 every little bit helps. Thank you for supporting me and support Swim Across America in this fight. SWIMcerely Fast - Scott
